JT's Law is a NY Public Health Law and Foundation named after a charismatic little boy who died by choking to death on a hot dog at the age of 3 while on vacation with his family in Disney World in 2003.
JT's Law is a registered 501c3
nonprofit organization.
JT's Law has been instrumental in
educating thousands of caregivers through its social media platforms;
training caregivers in choking rescue procedures by conducting FREE workshops; and equipping schools with the LifeVac, a portable airway clearance device used to dislodge item from choking victim
Our focus is to provide education on statistically documented high risk choking foods for Young Kids* and to empower caregivers with preventative measures and choking rescue procedures and devices to combat a child food choking event.
*Young Kids" means children: (i) under the age of 5; (ii) with missing or loose teeth; (iii) with the inability to sit still properly; and
(iv) with special needs.
Your contributions go towards advertising, educational materials, instructional videos, choking rescue procedure training workshops & gifting of LifeVacs to schools, daycare facilities and camps. In addition, JT's Law wants the ability to financially assist families affected by a child food choking event to reduce medical and/or funeral expenses.
